EDMUND

We've chosen to name this room "Edmund" in honor of the 10th generation of Edmund within the Outram lineage. This name has been passed down through the sons in every generation since 1700. 

1. Edmund Outram, born in Derbyshire England 1700 – 1774, had 3 sons
Joseph, Edmund and Benjamin Outram.

2. Joseph Outram, 1732 – 1810 had 1 child Edmund Outram.
1759 – ? with his first wife.

Joseph then remarried and had 4 daughters and 4 sons.

1 son was named Venerable Edmund Outram 1765 – 1821 and another was:

3. Joseph Outram 1771 – 1830.
This was the lineage that our family comes from!
This Joseph Outram then had 5 children, one was:
David Edmund Outram, 1818 -?(unknown date) . And another son:

4. Joseph Outram, 1803 -? , who then moved to Halifax, Canada.
Again we follow on from this Joseph’s lineage.
Joseph had 3 daughters and 6 sons, one being:

6. Edmund Darden Outram, 1876 – 1916
Edmund Darden came to SA as a soldier to fight as part of the Canadian Regiment in the Boer War, which took place from 11 October 1899 – 31 May 1902.  During his time in SA, Edmund Darden met and married Beatrice Millicent Jessie Nash, from Jansenville.
Edmund and Beatrice moved back to Canada and only had 1 son:

7. Edmund Henry Gough Outram, 1908 – 1987 was born in Halifax, Canada.
Young Edmund Henry’s father passed away when he was about 8 years old and the widowed Beatrice and the young Edmund (Ted), moved back to Jansenville, SA.
Ted then later married a local lass from Jansenville, Thora Winifred Fitzhenry and they had 2 sons and 2 daughters, one son being:

8. Edmund Edgar Henry (Teddy), 1932 – 2010
Teddy married Jennifer May Chree 1936 - from Port Elizabeth and they had 3 sons and 2 daughters, one son being:

9. Neil Edmund James Outram, 1964 –
Neil met and married Sharon Kim Oosthuysen 1969 - in Queenstown on 6 November 1993. Sharon was  born in Kabwe, Zambia. They are the current owners of the Millwood, Whitehill and Leeuwfontein farms, the latter being their current residence. They had 2 daughters, Micaela Sheila 1995 - and Carmen May 2002 - and a son:
