HISTORY OF MILLWOOD FARM
Welcome to Millwood Manor, a place steeped in history and a dream realized by Neil and Sharon Outram. The Outram Family's journey began here in the early 1930s, when they settled on the neighbouring farm, Leeuwfontein.
In the year 2000, we had the privilege of acquiring Millwood farm from the Birch family. Over the years, we've diligently tended to this land, farming it with Angoras and Merinos, while raising our three children who embarked on their boarding school adventures from a young age.
Now, in our quieter and golden years, we've decided to fulfill a long-cherished dream: transforming the farmhouse into a welcoming guest house, allowing others to share in the beauty and serenity of the Karoo that we hold so dear. Nestled in the middle of nowhere, Millwood Manor offers guests the chance to connect with the essence of real life and goodness.
For two decades, this old farmhouse stood empty, with only occasional guests passing through its doors. Today, we're thrilled to breathe new life into this historic abode, making remarkable changes to the house and its garden.
