The origin of the name "Millwood" traces back to the early proprietors of this cherished farm, Thomas Henry Cawood (1855-1946) and Cornella Miller (1859-1946).
Their union on the 25th of March 1880 marked the beginning of a new chapter, not only in their lives but in the farm's history as well.
To create a lasting symbol of their love and partnership, they ingeniously fused their surnames, giving rise to the name "Millwood." The Division of Jansenville 1902 Map reveals that Millwood Farm had its original names as Smithskraal and Zwart Rivier.
In honour of this remarkable couple, we have named one of our rooms "Cawood," a heartfelt tribute that perpetuates the enduring legacy of their union.
This is a 4 sleeper family bedroom.
The room consists of:
1 double bed – 2 persons.
2 single beds – 2 persons.
There is a built-in basin in this room for our guest’s convenience.
