These routes cater to a range of cyclists, from beginners to more experienced riders. Millwood Manor welcomes cyclists of all levels to explore the scenic terrain at their own pace.

Millwood Manor provides an extensive network of farm tracks and access to the district's gravel roads, catering to those who prefer longer rides. Our farm's internal roads range from easy flat areas to more challenging stony tracks in the mountains and koppies. Some tracks present steep and thrilling challenges for the adventurous cyclist.
We've thoughtfully mapped out five cycling routes for you to explore, with the flexibility to opt for shorter segments if desired. Take a look at our provided maps to plan your adventure:
Route 1: POORTJIE (18km)This route offers a relatively easy ride with minimal stony terrain. With an elevation gain of 143m, you'll climb 80m over the first 5km, followed by a predominantly downhill path for the remaining 13km. Keep an eye out for kudu, impala, springbuck, steenbokkies, and duiker along the way.
Route 2: DIP TANK (16km)A gentle 16km ride over flat terrain with a modest elevation gain of 119m. This route provides the opportunity to spot kudu, springbuck, steenbokkies, and duiker during your journey.
Route 3: TURKSVY (13km)The easiest route at 13km, offering relatively flat and smooth terrain with an elevation gain of 87m. Along this path, you'll pass two large ground dams, where you might spot water birds if the dams are filled. This route also takes you along the Zwart River, offering glimpses of the aforementioned game.
Route 4: DE DRAAI (30km)A challenging 30km ride that includes testing segments. The first 12km is mostly downhill, followed by a 2km climb of 117m on rough and stony tracks. Upon reaching the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. The following 10km is a gradual climb of 50m, with the last 2km slightly downhill. This route presents opportunities to spot mountain rhebuck, kudu, steenbokkies, and duiker.
Route 5: GRAVEL ROAD (60km)For the most daring cyclists, this 60km ride along a municipal gravel road traverses pristine Karoo veld. The journey includes challenging climbs, with an elevation gain of 623m. You'll pass through five neighboring farms, including Zwartriviersdrift, a game farm housing various species. While cycling, you'll cross electric gates, exploring the stunning landscapes that surround Millwood Manor.
